These games play like scratch games but are printed from a CT Lottery Retailer terminal or Lottery Vending Machine. Fast Play tickets are printed on-demand; no tickets are printed in advance. Simply follow the play instructions printed on your ticket to see if you’ve won.
There are two types of Fast Play games:
Progressive Jackpot Games
A series of games where each contributes to one rolling progressive jackpot that grows until it’s won.
Top Prize Games
These are single games that feature a set top prize (no rolling progressive jackpot).

How Progressive Jackpot Games Work
Overview
Progressive jackpot games are a family of games that share the same name, look, and play style, but are available at different price points. Each game in a family contributes to one shared progressive jackpot.
- Progressive jackpots begin at a set minimum value.
- Once the minimum jackpot is funded, the jackpot grows with each ticket sold.
- When the jackpot is won, it resets and starts to grow again.
How Much of the Jackpot Can You Win?
The ticket price determines the share of the progressive jackpot that you can win! Using a $2, $5, & $10 Progressive Family as an example:

Remember...
The purchase date and time are printed on the top of each ticket. Listen for the “ding” to confirm your ticket is printing at the time of purchase.
Fast Play tickets must be claimed within 180 calendar days from the date of the ticket purchase.
Fast Play tickets cannot be canceled after they are printed.

Each Fast Play game has its own set of play instructions, printed on the ticket. For example, if the play instructions say, “Within a GAME: Match ALL 3 of YOUR NUMBERS to any of the WINNING NUMBERS, win the prize shown for that GAME,” and you match all 3 numbers in that game and "PROGRESSIVE TOP PRIZE" is the prize symbol for that game, you win the progressive jackpot. Each Fast Play progressive ticket is eligible to win a percentage of the progressive jackpot. The ticket price of the game you play determines the percentage of the progressive jackpot you would win.
If the Fast Play Progressive family of games has a $1 game, a $2 game, and a $5 game:
- $1 game wins 20% of the progressive jackpot
- $2 game wins 40% of the progressive jackpot
- $5 game wins 100% of the progressive jackpot
If the Fast Play Progressive family of games has a $2 game, a $5 game, and a $10 game:
- $2 game wins 20% of the progressive jackpot
- $5 game wins 50% of the progressive jackpot
- $10 game wins 100% of the progressive jackpot
All CT Lottery tickets can be checked on a Lottery Ticket Checker at any CT Lottery Retailer, a Lottery vending machine or by downloading our free CT Lottery Mobile App. Using the Mobile App’s ticket scanner, you can scan the barcode on any CT Lottery ticket to see if it is a winner.
PLEASE NOTE: The CT Lottery's gaming system is "off-line" between the approximate hours of 2AM - 5AM daily. During that time, scanning tickets via the Lottery vending machine, CT Lottery Mobile App or a Retailer Lottery Ticket Checker is not available.

The overall odds of winning any Fast Play prize are specific to each game. Please check the game odds here before playing.
Like Scratch games, Fast Play games will immediately end if the last top prize is claimed. Fast Play games can also end for other reasons as determined by the CT Lottery. See the Official Game Rules here for more details.
