Our Commitment to Responsible Gambling

Responsible Gambling (RG) is a core value of the CT Lottery. Our mission is to raise revenue for the State of Connecticut while maintaining the highest standards of public trust, integrity, and social responsibility. We aim to provide games that are fun and entertaining for adults, while promoting responsible play.

To strengthen our responsible gambling efforts, the CT Lottery works with leading organizations, including:

• North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL)
• National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG)
• Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling
• Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services

We also participate in the NASPL–NCPG Responsible Gambling Standards Verification Program.

CT Lottery has achieved World Lottery Association (WLA) Responsible Gambling Certification – Level 3, one of the highest international standards. Only four lotteries in North America hold this distinction.

The CT Lottery contributes $3.3 million annually to the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services' Chronic Gamblers Treatment and Rehabilitation Fund, helping support prevention and treatment programs across Connecticut.
