Power Play is an add-on feature available for an additional $1 per play. Power Play offers the chance to multiply non-jackpot Powerball prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 times. (The 10 times multiplier is available for selection for jackpots of $150 million or less.) The Power Play number is randomly selected just before each Powerball drawing.

The Double Play drawing will occur after the Powerball drawing every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

The Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at approximately 10:59 PM. The Double Play drawing occurs after every Powerball drawing.
The odds of matching only the Powerball number involve a combination of two probabilities:
- Not matching any white ball numbers; and
- Matching only the Powerball number.
When these two probabilities are considered together, the odds of matching only the Powerball number are calculated to be 1 in 38. This takes into account the specific combination of events required to achieve this outcome, rather than a straightforward 1 in 26 chance, which might be expected based on the total number of Powerball numbers.
